From Oslo With Love is a performative experiment and an artistic approach to understanding of sur·round·ing
The project is representing three main area of focus: performing in public realm, drawing and mapping
It seeks to open spaces (or , still , to perform the opening of a
dimension) and multiple perspective on production and presentation
Day First
Day first, starting time: 15:30(Oslo time), the drawing of the first postcard was finished at 17:00.
I visited Oslo City Hall(Rådhus) today.
A story from the art works outside the city hall was the inspiration I
was looking for. There is a series of wooden friezes made by artist
Dagfin Werenskild there and you could find the following note next to
one of them:
The gods Odin, Høne and Lodur are out wandering. At the beach
they find two trees “without destiny”. Fate is granted by gods who
empower them: Odin gives them spirit, Høne gives the gift of vitality
and Lodur gives them blood and colour. Ask(ash) and Embla(elm) step
forward through the myth of creation as the two first human beings.
After finishing the postcard drawing , I met Ida and Kristina sitting
in front of the building. They decided to send the postcard to their
grandmother. cousins!
Nå er vi i Oslo, og tenke på deg, så vi tenkle a fortelle deg at vi er glad i deg. takk for at do er vår bestemor
Ida og Kristina
Then I asked them where to go in Oslo tomorrow to draw. The response was: Kuba Park.
Now I am back in the studio and It´s 19:10.
